Veterans Camp

"[Needs] can't be met by the Pentagon, [and] it can't be met by the VA," Mullen said. "It can only be met, I believe, by communities throughout the country joined together with the Pentagon and VA to get it right for those who've sacrificed so much."
Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff ~ Columbia University, 20 April 2010

Veterans Camp - For Veterans and families who have experienced the stress of deployment during past and current conflicts.

Dear Veterans,
Kieve-Wavus would like to say Thank You for your service to our nation by offering you and your family a stress-free week or weekend long program at one of our Veterans Camps. There are 4 Family Camps to choose from and 2 specialty camps – Vietnam and Women’s only camp.
We have two campuses on the shores of beautiful Damariscotta Lake in mid-coast Maine; Camp Kieve in Nobleboro, and Camp Wavus in Jefferson, (directions). Our experienced staff is waiting to ensure that you and your family have a great time while you are here.
Our goal is for you to relax, enjoy great food, sleep like a baby and most importantly, reconnect with your family and other veterans by building memories – the only cost to you is your travel to and from camp, the rest is all free of charge.
Kieve-Wavus has developed this opportunity for Veterans in consultation with the Military and its colleagues.
Kieve-Wavus is a non-profit founded in 1926 and is sponsoring this opportunity for veterans thanks to generous donations made by individuals who are deeply appreciative of our veterans.

Here are the dates for our 2017 Season:

January 16-20 Women's Only Camp

April 17-21 Family Camp

August 21-25 Family Camp

September 29-October 1 Weekend Family Camp

December 4-8 Vietnam Only Camp
