The Wavus Camp for Girls limits its enrollment to approximately 200 campers, aged 8 to 16, for each of the 3 1/2 week sessions. Experience has shown us that this is an ideal number to ensure that each camper receives individual attention while participating in groups large enough to learn the lessons of "give and take" with her peers. Because of our extensive wilderness tripping program, only about half this number of girls is at Wavus on any given day. Junior Wavus, for eight and nine-year-olds, and a few ten-year-old girls, is limited to around 50 girls per 10-day session.
Convinced that a girl’s social maturity is enhanced by meeting and interacting with girls from different parts of the world, we enrich our enrollment by accepting campers from many different regions of the United States and several foreign countries as well.
Kieve-Wavus admits students to all of the rights, privileges, activities and responsibilities and does not discriminate in its admissions or program operations on the basis of any protected classification under State or Federal Law in administering its policies or scholarship programs.
Tuition for the 2017 Full Session is $6,300 and the 10 Day Introductory Session is $3,250.
1st Session Full: June 20 - July 15 Intro: June 29 - July 8
2nd Session Full: July 18 - Aug 12 Intro: July 27 - Aug 5
Once a child is admitted into camp, the $750 deposit is non-refundable. Tuition payments are also non-refundable.
Application Policy: Junior session applications will be accepted immediately on a first come first served basis until full.
For the 3 ½ week sessions, our enrollment often fills very early for many age groups. To protect existing campers, we will accept returnees as they have first priority until October 15th. New families are encouraged to apply ASAP as we process applications slated by submission date.
Some camper spaces in specific age groups are limited, and returnees may outnumber appropriate spaces available. For returning campers, please do not assume that we know your child will come back next year. Campers will not be registered until we receive the completed application form and the non-refundable deposit. We will send an email communication to all returning families when the new applications are available. If a child is waitlisted we will not charge the deposit until enrollment is confirmed; however, you must use a credit card to submit the application. Once accepted, the deposit is non-refundable.
If you wish to register a sibling (from either side of the lake, Kieve or Wavus) who was not a camper last year, please send in an application and registration deposit for that child now in order to secure a place near the top of the November 1st hold list. This does not guarantee that they will be accepted since we may not have any spaces available for them.
We consider applications in the order of their receipt at Kieve and Wavus, so early return of the completed application form and deposit, for each camper, offers the best chance of ensuring a Kieve or Wavus summer. The Board and management are adamant about not increasing our enrollment numbers; we sincerely apologize if we had to turn away you or your friends, and we appreciate your understanding.
Once you have submitted an application, here is the link to the CampInTouch Parent/Family Login page Parent Login to access your account.
