Admission Information, Policies
and Forms
The Summer Camp for Boys limits its enrollment
to approximately 220 campers, aged 8 to 16, for each of the 3 1/2 week sessions.
Experience has shown us that this is an ideal number to ensure
that each camper receives individual attention while participating
in groups large enough to learn the lessons of "give
and take" with his peers. Because of our extensive wilderness
tripping program, only about half this number of boys is
at
Kieve on any given day.
While most of our campers attend one of the
two independent 3-1/2 week sessions, some boys elect to attend
Kieve for the entire seven-and-a-half weeks.
Eight and nine-year-olds, and a few ten-year-old
boys, coming to Kieve for the first time have the option of
attending Junior Kieve, an
introductory 10-day session. This shortened session exposes
the gamut of Kieves activities to boys and their parents
who do not yet feel ready to part with one another for a
month. Convinced that a boys
social maturity is enhanced by meeting and interacting
with boys from different
parts of the world, we enrich our enrollment by accepting
campers from many different regions of the United States
and several foreign countries as well.
Kieve admits campers of any race or religion
to all of the rights, privileges, and activities generally
accorded or made available, and does not discriminate on the
basis of race or religion in administering its policies or
scholarship programs. Kieve is an equal opportunity employer
as well.
The available openings in the
Boys
Camp usually fill quite quickly; therefore we suggest that
you submit your application as early as possible. We give
priority to returning campers and their siblings; next we
accept those who have been placed on the previous years
wait list. Any remaining places are filled on a first-come,
first served basis. Since wait-listed boys do receive priority
acceptance the following year, we advise you to place your
application on our wait list even if the chances for acceptance
in the current session seem slim. No deposit is required for
inclusion on the wait list. Deposit Refund Policy
Once a child is admitted into camp, the $750
deposit is non-refundable. Tuition payments are also non-refundable,
but in special circumstances please contact the director. For more information or an application packet,
please get in touch with us using one of the methods set forth
on the Contact page.
