Loyalty Fund Status Update - June 2010
Jun. 30, 2010
Greetings Alumni,
It’s hard to believe camp is already a week into the first session. By all accounts things are off to a great start. We just wanted to take a minute to update you on what’s been going on with the Loyalty Fund these past few months.
Thanks to all the alumni who showed up at the Loyalty Fund celebration. It was a great night and nice to see so many former and current Kieve staff in NYC. We have had another great year of support, raising over $8,000 for the fund and the night was a great way to cap it all off.
We are very happy to announce that we are now sponsoring 2 boys at camp this summer – our previous scholarship camper Drew is back up again and we have a new camper in Long Voyage 2, Marcus from Memphis, Tennessee. We are very excited to be able to spread the benefit of a summer at Kieve to someone new and that is all thanks to you.
We hope everyone is having a great summer so far and look forward to seeing everyone at alumni weekend in less than a month. Thanks again for all that you do to support the Loyalty Fund. None of this would be possible without it.
Warm Regards,
Jason, Matt and Tom
The Loyalty Fund was started in 2007 by former counselors Matt McKenna, Jason Nahra, and Tom Hartenstein, who themselves were greatly impacted by their time at Kieve. The goal is to share the Kieve experience with those who might not otherwise be able to attend. A summer at Camp Kieve can be a very powerful experience for somebody, helping them to grow and develop self esteem, as well as learn important lessons in team work and treating others with kindness and respect. It is our hope that this fund will grow to be a fully endowed fund in the future. Thanks in advance for your help and support from the Kieve community and also the young men whose lives will be shaped with this wonderful experience.
