Ross Cameron
Ross Cameron, Leadership School teacher, began working for Kieve in 1986. A graduate of Greenfield Community College and Goddard College with degrees in Recreation and Leisure Services, Outdoor Leadership, and Experiential Education, Ross enjoys long distance running, paddling, and playing ice hockey.

Jason Drake
I graduated from Green Mountain College in Vermont in 2003 with a B.A. in Biology. While at school I played 3 years of Rugby and did lots and lots of hiking. I went through The Leadership School program when I was in 7th grade and when I found out there were open positions I jumped at the opportunity. I am having the greatest experience of my life.

Nathaniel Deknatel
Nathaniel came to the Leadership School in September 2007. Prior to his time at Kieve, Nathaniel taught 6th grade Social Studies and 7th grade Reading for two years at a middle school in Dorchester, MA. He spends his summers teaching sailing ard running community service projects in the Caribbean. He is excited to continue his teaching at the Leadership School and gain further experience in experiential education.

Tyler King
Originally from Bridgton, Maine, Tyler graduated from St. Anselm College (Manchester, NH) with a B.A. in History and Secondary Educaiton. He finds it great to be back in Maine and is very excited about the upcoming spring.

John Marchelletta
John came to The Leadership School as a PRO in the fall of 2005, was promoted to intern in 2006, and is now a teacher. Prior to coming to The Leadership School, John worked as a substance abuse counselor for 2 years in Augusta, and was in the United States Marine Corps serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003.

Holli Mellick
Born and raised in Spokane, Washington, Holli graduated from Eastern Washington University with a degree in Recreation Management. She has worked at the Leadership School since Fall 2005 and during the summer is the Adventure Course Director at the Wavus Camp for Girls.

Victoria Murray
Originally from Philadelphia, PA, I graduated in May of 2006 from Colorado College where I studied Sociology and Education. After graduation, I came to the Leadership School as an intern and had an amazing year working with kids from all over Maine and Massachusetts. I am passionate about working with kids through experiential education because it gives students a chance to grow outside their normal environment, try new things, and gain confidence in themselves and their peers. I also enjoy being outside hiking, running, or biking, and spending time with friends.

Sigrid Stanley
Sigrid graduated from UVM in 1998 with a B.A in English. Previously on staff at the Leadership School from 1999-2001, first as an Intern then as a Teacher, Sigrid rejoined us as a Teacher in Fall 2007. During her time away, Sigrid took time to travel and guide in Alaska, gaining extensive back-country experience in the US and Canada. She loves to play outside - dirt biking, kayaking, hiking, etc and is very happy to be back at the Leadership School.

Jessica Wolinsky
I'm a 2006 graduate of Hamilton College (NY) where I studied English and Environmental Studies. At the Leadership School, I hope to combine my interest in education with my passion for the outdoors in order to help change students' lives through experiential learning. I bring a diverse educational background to Kieve, having studied abroad in both New Zealand and Ireland, and having participated in many wilderness trips and ropes course challenges during my high school and college careers.

Meghan Brown
Meghan has been living most recently in the Seattle, WA area, but is originally from the great state of Ohio. She graduated from the University of Dayton, in Dayton, OH, with a bachelor of fine arts degree in photography and a minor in psychology. She spent the past year living in southern Mexico teaching English to students of all ages- an experience she considers one of the scariest and best of her life. She loves to travel, speak Spanish, play with puppies, eat chocolate, do anything outdoors and has recently developed a love for biking. She is excited for her next great adventure and is looking forward to being part of The Leadership School staff!

Katie Herman
I graduated from the College of Wooster, Ohio in May 2007 with a B.A. in English and a minor in Classical Studies. My interest in the Leadership School stems from my own experience attending an experimental education school my love for the outdoors. I enjoy reading, travel, animals and spending time with friends.

Laurie Jevons
A native upstate New Yorker, Laurie graduated in 2007 from McGill University in Montreal. She speaks (mediocre) French, enjoys snowboarding, and is working on her golf game. Laurie credits her large family with her ability to be patient and her extensive knowledge of friendship bracelet patterns. She hopes to put her Psychology degree to work at the Leadership School.

William Oakley
Although I was born and raised in North Carolina (the home state of Michael Jordan, John Coltrane, and Mt. Olive Pickles), I graduated with a B.A. in Biology from the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC. In the spring of 2005 I graduated fron the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) Spring Semester in the Southwest course where I spent 88 days rock climbing, backpacking, river canoeing, and caving in the American Southwest. After college, I went to work as an Intern at NOLS Southwest Branch in Tucson, AZ. Now I'm here at the Leadership School and "I'm lovin' every minute of it!" In my spare time I love to rock climb, run read play guitar and piano, fish and play bocce ball on the beach.

Madeline Rake
Madeline comes to the Leadership School looking to combine her love of the outdoors, a strong commitment to education, and her enthusiasm for a new challenge. A recent graduate of Brown University (BA, Human Biology), she has teaching experience at The Breakthrough Collaborative in Providence, where she taught English and Literature and a little Physics. She's a dedicated cyclist, having twice ridden across the country to raise money for Habitat for Humanity. Originally from Lawrence, KS, Madeline has lived in New Zealand, Sweden, and England.

Matt Slutz
Hi, I am a graduate of Campbellsville University in Campbellsville, KY where I majored in History and minored in Educational Ministries. While there I was a Resident Assistant for two years and one of the founding members of "Flash 7", the University Ultimate Frisbee Team. I am excited to be working as a PRO at The Leadership School for a chance to explore Maine and to work in a job that is like no other.

Megan Waterman
I graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington in 2004 with a degree in Elementary Education. While I was there I played field hockey for 4 years and enjoyed taking a ropes course facilitator course- my first introduction to experiential education. After I graduated I spent a year in the southern United States doing volunteer work with AmeriCorps NCCC. I have worked with kids in all settings from adventure camp to public school and am very excited to bring my love for children and my desire to play to Kieve! I also enjoy running, climbing, hiking, and being with friends.

Douglas Wilson
Doug graduated from Unity College in Maine in 2007 with a B.S. in Adventure Education and Adventure Therapy. Prior to working for Kieve he completed an Adventure Educator's Semester with Outward Bound and became a field instructor for the Wilderness program in Maine and the Discovery program in South Carolina during the summer. Doug has hiked Mt. Katahdin and Mt. Washington and canoed on the Rangeley Lakes extensively. In his time off Doug can be found rock climbing, canoeing, and backpacking.

Jillian Colvin
I am from Richmond, MA and a graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School. My plans are to major in Education at Coastal Carolina University, however I am currently taking a year off from school in order to explore new surroundings. Working with children is a passion that I expect to have through out my life and I'm look forward to becoming a teacher. The Leadership School is a great way to gain experience and work with children in a non-traditional environment. Having energy, an open mind and listening to students and staff are the best skills to bring.

Jacob Freese
Hailing from Rochester, MN, Jacob is a recent graduate with a degree in Recreation and Tourism, and a minor in Adventure Tourism. He has held many different jobs at locations such as a fishing cannery, a bike shop, and an organic restaurant. He has traveled to Alaska, Australia, New Zealand and through out the western U.S. During these experiences Jacob enjoyed meeting people, learning about them and helping with their needs. He plans to bring that friendly compassion to The Leadership School. Besides travel, Jacob's main interest is bikes, not only riding, but building and fixing as well. He is also pretty good at cooking and inventing jokes.

Michael Logan
A graduate from Unity College in December 2007 with a degree in Adventure Education Leadership, I have worked as a field instructor for Outward Bound and as a guide for the Boy Scouts. I love climbing and I bring a lot of ropes course experience. I'm here at Kieve because I love working with children. I am a person who enjoys doing anything and everything outside.
