The Leadership School at Kieve
The success of The Leadership School program is due to the
group of talented and dedicated staff working both onsite and
out in the schools themselves. Anyone with experience in experiential
education, and a sincere interest in helping a broad spectrum
of Maine children reach their potential and avoid some of the
pitfalls associated with growing up, is encouraged to apply to
the positions below with a resume and cover letter.
To apply to The Leadership School, please send cover letter and resume to Jean Haeger by email and/or call 207.563.6212
Interns
The teaching intern position is for individuals seriously considering a career in education, particularly nontraditional or experiential education. Many interns have used this experience to gain permanent employment, either at Kieve or at other schools. Interns participate in the Leadership School as cabin staff (see above). In addition, they assist and observe in the classroom and assume teaching duties. Throughout the process, their professional growth is monitored by a personal mentor, one of Kieve's experienced teachers.
