The Leadership School at Kieve
The success of The Leadership School program is due to the
group of talented and dedicated staff working both onsite and
out in the schools themselves. Anyone with experience in experiential
education, and a sincere interest in helping a broad spectrum
of Maine children reach their potential and avoid some of the
pitfalls associated with growing up, is encouraged to apply to

PROs (Peer Resident Overseers)
PROs oversee student life in a cabin of middle school students, four nights a week plus facilitate at the Kieve challenge course, organize afternoon activities and orchestrate evening teambuilding programs. PROs work together applying The Leadership School’s curriculum to these afternoon and evening activities. This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants more experience working with middle school students, learning more about youth group facilitation, and understanding experiential education.

Leadership School PRO
Interns
The teaching intern position is for individuals seriously considering a career in education, particularly nontraditional or experiential education. Many interns have used this experience to gain permanent employment, either at Kieve or at other schools. Interns participate in the Leadership School as cabin staff (see above). In addition, they assist and observe in the classroom and assume teaching duties. Throughout the process, their professional growth is monitored by a personal mentor, one of Kieve's experienced teachers.

Teachers
The teachers at The Leadership School are professionals, dedicated to the experiential learning model. They deliver the experiential learning curriculum of the Leadership School and serve as role models to our participating students and their teachers. Teachers also participate in ongoing curriculum evaluation and revision as well as serve as mentors to at least one intern throughout the year.

Teacher Challenge Course Specialist
The Teacher/Challenge Course Specialist teaches the Leadership School curriculum and also has responsibility and oversight for the School's Challenge Course and Indoor Climbing Wall. In addition, this individual will assist with facilitation of our corporate clients and mentor our interns.

Administrative Assistant
The Administrative Assistant provides customer service to students, parents, teachers, administrators, and Leadership School staff.
